Boot disk
I'm trying to boot from a 98 boot disk and have access to my existing drives.
I currently have 2 CD's 2 hard drives and a floppy that I would like to use. If I boot from the 98 disk my C drive turns into the RAM drive and there are no other drives (Except A and the CD) available to me. I would like to boot into DOS, run a program that creates a comma delimited file and save it somewhere. I believe that there is a line that I can add to my autoexec.bat or config.sys that will let me, but I'm not sure how it reads. Can anyone help? Don |

Got it!
Idnew,
Thanks for the post. Well.... its kinda stupid of me, but all my other drives were formatted in NTFS, so my 98 bootdisk (Formatted in FAT) wouldn't see them. I should have known because I formatted them! But this class has got me not thinking right. Anyway, I reformatted my E: drive to FAT32 with Partition magic and that solved the problem. Thanks to all for looking at this post and not ripping me, and thanks Idnew. Don |
