Ok, I have a laptop and a desktop. The desktop is connected to the company network, my laptop is not. I need to get what is on the network, onto my laptop. Is there anyway to do this? There is too much information to even think of emailing it to myself. I cannot get access to the network on my laptop, so I was thinking of somehow connecting my laptop to the desktop and being able to connect to the network that way. Is that at all possible and if so how do I do it (what type of cable)?

Sure it's possible i would suggest standard ethernet cable but when connecting your labtop to work make sure to get an administrator to help you connect it to the workgroup or domain. Once your on the domain you can login as yourself as if it were desktop and copy over files to your local C: drive for home use. But it being work related i would recommend seeking your local administrator for addtional help and file permissions.
