Images won't load

I am using windows 98 and mozilla firefox browser. I have a problem that started two weeks ago. I can not get images to load in my Yahoo mail or in the Yahoo Personals site. While the page is loading it places a frame up as if it will load the picture and then it just disappears. Sometimes I can capture the photo if I right click on the frame while it is loading(before it disappears) and choose view image. Then the image will load if i page back to the original page. I can not recall doing anything new with the computer two weeks ago that could have started this problem. Thanks for the help.

I don't know anything about a firefox browser, but first thing check for spyware. Do you have a spyware program? It sounds like the Java might be corrupted. un-install it and get the newest Java for it here>>>> Firefox plugins ("https://pfs.mozilla.org/plugins/)

Thanks for the response Idnew. Added Ad-Aware to my regularly used Spy Bot and picked up somethings and deleted them. Still have the same problem. I am not sure how to go about un-installing Java. I do not see any uninstall options on any of the program menus. Please tell me how I might go about doing it without wiping out files needed for other programs. Thanks.

Go to my computor/add/remove programs and Java should be listed there, click on it and remove then install the new one. Be sure you get the one for your browser.

Idnew Thanks Again for the help. Uninstalled Java and then reinstalled as you suggested. Unfortunately, am still experiencing the same problem. This is so frustrating!! Thanks again for taking the time to help.

Well I downloaded the Firefox browser and not that impressed since it's just another version of NS and it won't let me paste(copy something then paste it in reply) on message boards like this.

Have you got an IE browser to try and see if the images will open with it?

I did go to yahoo personals and my yahoo mail using Firefox and it won't open images for me either but going to the same page with IE they did open. Hmmm now for sure I'm not impressed with this browser. Pretty fast is about all the nice I can say for it.
