I am looking for software that would allow me to copy LP's and cassettes to the computer and burn them to cd. Anyone had any experience with this? I am looking to purchase as a gift so any info would be appreciated.

Usually the major packages such as Nero and Roxio will include software to do this.

The hardest part is connecting the Cassette recorder to the PC, or the record player.
I did have a male - male cable a while back, that connected to the PC via the mic socket, and the output socket in a walkman. This would have been perfect.
Quality would have been a bit dodgy, but then, something is better than nothing.

Those cables are quite cheap. Any audio store or good electrical store will have the correct cable
