Hi eportalesjr, welcome to CTH

Just to get a better picture, here's a few questions,
Are you using Exchange, through your works server for example, or POP3, through a service provider?
What does the system say when you do a "test of the account settings" ?
What happens when you sed one from the account back to yourself?
Same question if you send from a webmail account?
Do you get any error on your "Send Recieve Progress" status?
What version of Outlook are you running?

Cheers.

Well Im running it on pop3 by service provider. I am running my email on Microsoft outlook 2003. If i send an email to myself i don't recieve it as well as when i use hotmail. I dont recieve any errors and the test connection says that everything is connected. I tried running it on thunderbird but i did not work at first so i set my email on outlook afterward. I still have both running and i dont know if that will caus a problem.

i just figured that im running cox email service. My dad has his own and i have my own. Are the passwords different for each one. That may be the problem. I am using the password that my dad is using for his email account. I am not sure if you have you own.

Add another mail account to outlook, you should be able to use both quite happily. Check with the old man first, he might get the hump if you read all his stuff ;)

Tools>Options>Mail Setup>Email Accounts> Add new email account
follow the steps from there as you did setting up the cox account first time round (though changing the details to be your mail name etc).
