Mounting Mac HD on Ubuntu

I have some files on my Mac HD that I really need. I can't get to them as I'm in the middle of upgrading to tiger. (I lost my installer CD 2) The files are still there (Upgrade install) but I have NO idea how to mount my Mac HD on linux so I can pull the files off and move them to my memory stick. I've mounted Windows HDs, just not Mac. I'm on Ubuntu 5.something PPC Live boot.

As always, Help greatly appreciated.

You would use a command like:

mount -t hfsplus /dev/hda* /mnt/mac

On disks formatted with a macOS partition, slices 1-5 are often system and driver partitions. The first "useful" partition is often /dev/hda6

You can use /sbin/parted to list the partitions on the drive, that will help you to find if it's /dev/hda6 or /dev/hda7 and so on.
