Attempting to install Windows Media Player 9 Codecs and then Windows Media Player 9 Series.
**Procedure per Microsoft.com is to install codecs first then media player series.**
This is the result:
ERROR STARTING PROGRAM-The SETUP_WM.EXE File is linked to missing export KERNEL32.DLL:GetSystemWindowsDirectoryW.
---then i click OK and get---
WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER CODECS SETUP-Error creating process\TEMP\lXP000.TEMP\setup_wm.exe /Quiet/R:N>. Reason:A device attached to the system is not functioning.
---then i click OK and get nothing---
