Mailwasher & Outlook.

XP Pro.
Just had Office installed.

I have put Outlook as my default email client.

I have Mailwasher installed.
It is launching my mail program (Outlook) - but the mail is still going in to Outlook Express. (which is not listed as my default, now.)

Can anyone please tell me if - or how - I can get my mail to go from Mailwasher, into Outlook.

Thank you.

First:
In Internet Explorer>Tools>Internet Options>Programs tab make sure Outlook is selected for email.

Second:
In Mailwasher/Tools>Accounts, remove Outlook Express and import Outlook

If you've already done all that, try uninstalling and reinstalling Mailwasher.

Complete the steps below to import an account.

Step - Action - 1
Select Tools > Accounts to display the Accounts window and then click . The Import Accounts window displays.

2
Select the accounts you want to import, and click .

3
MailWasher Pro does not import the password for your account, as this is encrypted and needs to be entered again by you. To do this, select the name of the required account in the Account window, and click . The Account details for a POP3/SMTP account window displays.

4
Select the Incoming mail tab and enter your account password in the Password field.

If you do not want MailWasher Pro to remember this password, deselect the Remember password checkbox.

Click . The Bouncing & outgoing mail tab displays.

5
Select the Enable bouncing of messages from this account checkbox if you want to enable this function, and then enter your Email address and your SMTP server address.

If you have multiple email addresses, click to add them.

You need to enter your email address because incoming spam does not always specify the address to which it was sent. Entering your SMTP address enables a bounce notice to be sent when a connection to the machine that sent you the email cannot be made.

6
Click to finish importing your account.

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
I love Mailwasher too, 1centwiz. I have had the Pro version for about three years now.

Thank you both for your help.
Looks like I am back in business.

Yeah! I tried the sample version and loved it, so bought the pro version. It allows you to add as many email accounts as you want, which is nice since we all have multiples for one reason or another.
Cheers!

Unless you have the ISP which I have.
Mine is having problems - again, and emails aren't coming through.

Mail Washer and Outlook

Hi, Sorry to hear that mailwasher is not working again.
My best guess is to contact the company and ask for some tech support at this point. It shouldn't have anything to do with your ISP since I have two different accounts coming through my mailwasher from two different states. One in CA and my local one here in MT.
Maybe you need to go over your account status with log in passwords and if your ISP needs SMTP authorizing or not. Most don't but you just never know.
Best of luck !
