Howdy again CAH36,
Sorry if that seemed like a run around, but it does get bogged down when multiple requests are in one thread. Right click anywhere on your desktop and select Properties. Click on the Settings tab. If the Screen area bar says 640 by 480 pixels, move this to the right one notch and click Apply.

You can also correct this by restoring a registry from a day before it started acting up (I've done it this way)
Boot up,press F8,select option 5 (Command prompt) and type "scanreg/restore" at the C prompt.....Simply pick a registry from before this started (You have 5 saved registrys on 98 (usually)) Good luck  -- Welcome to CTH!
