Does MAC already have one or do I have to download burner software?

It depends. If you Mac shipped with a dvd burner then you already have the software built into the finder. Use the help menu and search or "burn"

If it's an older ibook 400mhz processor then they didn't come with DVD burners. If it's a new iBook you should be able to select File > New Burn Folder from the menu. Place the items you want on a DVD in that folder, then chose File > Burn Disc... From the menu.
