File type icons
I just noticed my file type icon for jpg files has changed. How do I find out which program has hijacked the jpg files and assigned its own icon to them.
My icon used to be like a picture frame now it is like a "not allowed sign" a red circle with a diagonal red line across the middle of the circle. Similar to the desk top icon for adaware personal se. *Edit: I just clicked on properties for these files (because I remembered that you get an enlarged icon when you do that) and the icon does indeed belong to adaware SE, so what's gone on here? The strange thing is that jpg files still open up in microsoft photo editor as they always did. All other file icons appear to be the same as they used to be including gifs, and bmp. Thanks. Thanks,
I just did a load of cleaning up, deleting files I don't want. Deleted all TIF including content.ie5 Deleted windows Applog Windows recent Then I noticed the file icon had reverted back to what it should be. Totally confused why Adaware icon was used for jpg files in this way. |
