I suspect that the sentence of 30 years was mainly for the drugs part of this offence. See here (http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_3216381).

The "cool mom" is not really a "looker" so she probably had to get the boys drunk or stoned before they'ed have anything to do with her. This seems to be a trend lately, must be the mothers of the boys involved that's turning in the older women.
