As the holidays are fast approaching, many of you have been asking once again what to buy me for a gift this year. To make your shopping easier, here's a link to the new monitor I'd like. I realize price is no object, but you can do away with any fancy wrapping - a plain box with a well-thought-out card will do.

sho-dan, Want to split the cost? Only ??????? dollars! I can't really read anything on that page, it's all ?'s.
If anyone wants to get me a gift (which everyone does), I might accept this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824187077) as long as I get this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814124115) (to upgrade my old PC). You could also get me this (http://www.alienware.com/Configurator_Pages/area-51_7500.aspx?SysCode=PC-AREA51-7500-R1&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT) (note: may require you to sell your new sports car ;)) I configured it for a little less than only $20,000!!! Thanks in advance.
Edit: I looked at the "low" monthly cost...it's more than a normal computer!

Why don't I get you this (http://store.sun.com/CMTemplate/CEServlet?pm=4b6009:1079951d62e:-2e1b) instead?
Price = $4,485,132.00 (configured) Sorry, but it only has 288 GB RAM, 18 processor/memory uniboards, 72 1.5 GHz CPUs with 32MB L3 cache, etc.

Apologies for not giving a clearer description - I thought all you'd need was a visual. It's a hemispherical display, available in it's smallest radius yet of 1.4 meters. The new 1400, which I linked to above, is the 3D version: 2 LCD projectors form a 3,000-ANSI stereoscopic image inside the dome. Starting price is around $108,000. So start saving.

Why not just put a big fish bowl in front of your LCD

Although a fishbowl and the proper medication would appear a valid solution to some, it wouldn't give the XGA image's true 3D goodness.
Plus, I know you guys ain't cheap. :)
