Hello, I'm running a PIII 450 under windows 95, and it seems my internet connection has been permanently disabled on this particular computer.
Every time I try to connect, it just says it doesnt find the modem ..

I wouldn't think the modem disconnected itself .. it seems to be there ..
This particular problem occured after several crashes with the p2p program Morpheus..

is there a dial up networking reset utilities or some other application I should use for this case?

Hi Confused_one - firstly lets see if your modem is communcating with your computer. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel and open Modems. Click on the Diagnostics tab and then click on the More Info button. Can you please post back the response to each command.

I'm sorry I didn't reply earlier ..
what command do you want me to check ...

there is a list of the code line during the diagnostic which would be a page long I guess .. but most lines are cut before the end.

Still .. I think the computer says it doesn't find the modem ..
should I try to reinstall it?

Hi Confused_one - When you clicked on More Info - you should have got a list of commands with the response next to them similar to this:

The above shows that the computer is communicating with the modem.

By all means, try reinstalling your modem and let us know how you get on.
