My friend just dropped off a logitech web cam
he needs to be able to setup 12 of these at a school system that he works for, so im the experimenter i get to play with it for a week to see how hard it is to do video conference over the net.
So far it works good but i had to put it lower on my desk it seems that the glare from my bald head was causing the picture to be to bright. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif

There was one forum that I didn't touch Harrie....The one where you where asking about networking.....I almost was going to put stuff <--technical term...on that post
like make sure you have all your "nasty?.?" bookmarks locked so hubby can't get to them..or...make sure you've got a software that makes your BOYFRIENDS phone numbers/folders invisible so hubby.....

Then stuff <---smart aren't I...like is your other puter on the otherside of the
pond?,if so make sure ya get waterproof cable and a-lottttttttt of it.... http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

ME----5am........SEE-YOU!!!!!! http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif
btw---if its go......you make sure you keep W4cheeeeee OUT OF LINE "in line would
just be to scarrrrryyy"!!!! The rest of ya can take care of yourselfs....... http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif

OHMIGOD!! ROTF! Quite an imagination there, Bill, sorry to inform you but I ain't got nothing that needs to be made invisible! Love that "stuff" - technical stuff, that is! Glad you didn't post all that though, I've already "comfoozed" the *h _ _ _* out of myself on it and I'm the one asking the questions!

Hey Bill, let's get real here, is there really any chance in this world that W4cheeeee would walk the straight line? I ain't watching out over him, I guarantee he'll stay well out of bounds! Whoops, don't come get me W4 - I couldn't resist it!

Ironside....I posted this over at old board..Anyway, here is my answer http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/redface.gifh, i spent too much money on birthday presents for 2 grandsons....and a niece has a birthday(which is why I am waiting)..too many birthdays for me! and i found 5 differnet kinds of pc cameras..now which is best?an IBM/does videomail & snapshots& videoconferencing..$30.00
a videocam by kensington does face to face chat/email pics..$40.00
quickCamweb by logitech..videoemail & video calls..$70.00
quickcampro build web pages/create web cams..etc. $90.00

Hi
lafave I have a logitech quickcam express and I like it a lot. It is about 40.00 dollars at best buy. What I like about it is that it send its own viewer when you send a video to someone so they don't need another viewer to see it on their PC. Ironside if you can give me detail maybe we can try the video thing sometime. Just let me know.
