Unhappy Downloading problems.

Hello eveyone,

My name is Chris I just joined the forum today.I am wondering if anyone could help me on the following issue that I am having.I am trying to dowload some EXE.files and programs of the internet and when I get to the set up section to install the program(s) my Adode 6.0 appears to be setting up for install. This has been happening ever since installing the Adobe. It seems like every download is targeted for an Adobe install just with a different file name. Can anyone inform me on the matter?

My thanks to all in advance
Christian ;-)

Run Regedit and browse to the following key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Plugins\Extension

Select the Extension > Right Mouse > Delete

Unhappy Still having trouble.

Hi,

Thanks for the welcoming me (Dodge)..(Whit Phil) thanks also.I am still having trouble though.I tried going to the REGEDIT but the problem still happens. To try to be more clear on my problem most of the programs that I save to disk on my C :Drive download then later on when ready to install having the EXE file in my C:drive I click on that EXE file and my Adobe program that I downloaded 2 months ago does the installing. If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it :)

Thanks again.
Chris

So, you HAVE deleted the registry key noted above?

Have you tried re-downloading and attempting an install?

What Adobe program is attempting to do the installation?

Is it ALL downloaded installs? (which are EXEs)?

I have to assume that any other EXE that you doubleclick on is running correctly?
