Question Hard Drive Reloading

I have a 950 MHz Gateway, and I want to erase everything from my hard drive to start from scratch. I recently found this website ( http://www.jrwhipple.com/sup_startover.html ), and I was wondering if anyone has used these steps to reload their hard drive. What are the steps that you have used to reload your hard drive? Thanks

If you are using Windows 98, the easiest way is to:
insert a floppy disk into the drive. open my computer and right click on A: (or whatever your floppy drive letter is) then click "Format" and uncheck all the boxes but "copy system files" you now have a windows 98 boot disk.
restart your computer with the disk in your drive and it will boot from your floppy disk.
type:
{enter} = press enter or return
---------------------------------------------------------
A: {enter}
format C: {enter}
---------------------------------------------------------
it will say "are you sure"
press "Y" and it will delete everything off your hard drive
