I have lost mys sound. Wheneva I am in outlook express i can not open any sound files. Wheneva someone sends a background with sound, I hear nothing. I originally had 5.5 and have upgraded to 6 hoping to fix it but to no avail. I am running ME.
Actually I am asking for a friend.
A reply ASAP would e very much appreciated.

Hi actsclan - welcome to CTH. If the problem only occurs in Outlook Express, tell your friend to try repairing Internet Explorer. (Start > Settings > Control Panel. Open Add/Remove Programs, click on the Install/Uninstall tab and select Internet Explorer 6 then click on Add/Remove. He/she should get a dialogue box open with an option to "Repair Internet Explorer").

We formatted the hard drive and then took it back to win98.
Thanks to those who took the time to read my question and special thanks to those that replied. Hope I can use this service more both as a user and as an adviser.
