KB4IUB here, though I’m not much of a Ham, never really was. My Father is the real Ham. I took the Ham mainly because my Father was the one who gave the test for our State. I save a few bucks on my Vehicle Tag tax with an FCC License.

My 85 year old dad is a ham, but inactive for some time, due to Ahlzeimer's. It's sad, as we really had a father-son thing going with the radio for so many years, when I was a kid. His call is K5UGL & he lives at Comanche, Texas.

73's,

Tony

Boy, I have some memories of going to those swap meets, as we called them, with my dad! All kinds of radios, of course, back then, tube types, and they all weighed a ton! My dad had an old Heathkit DX-100 xmtr, and I know why they called it "100", it weighed about 100 lbs., or so it seemed. Oh, for the good old days!;)

The conditions on 11Meters is getting better!!!!

The last few days i have talked to Georgia,Illinios,etc..........

Now that we are over the LOWEST SPOT ON THE SUNSPOT CYCLE,we will probably see a return to good propagation on all bands!!!!
