Help with internet time out/page can't be displayed

I have windows XP, Int Explore, Firefox, and netscape on comcast cable connection. The other day I did a disk cleanup to remove temp files and compress old files. Ever since I can get into my email with no probs so comcast connection not an issue but when trying to view web pages browser times out in Firefox or Netscape, IE states page cannot be displayed... Unless I reboot computer, then I can go to exactly two websites before time out etc begins. I'm going crazy... please email responses if you can because obviously my web access is limited.

Well I fixed it by restoring system to two weeks ago... now all works fine but I don't get what happened.. guess I'll never do a disk cleanup again!!! :-)
