Question yahoo mail problem

Hello there,

Came across this forum searching for help with my yahoo mail problem. Whenever I click on the "compose" link in yahoo mail to write am e-mail, the page opens up without the area for typing the message?! It only shows the TO: line and the SUBJECT: line. Below that is just blank blue area with no white area to type at all!

Im really at a loss because when I log on using my work computer, it opens up fine! Anyone come across this before?

Welcome

How long has it been happening?
What browsers have you tested?

What kind of internet security do you have as it may be conflicting or over protecting.

Hi degsy

Aloha,

Thanks for your reply!

It is strange, because I have been reading and writing emails with my yahoo address for several months now without this problem. It has only been doing this for 2 weeks maybe?

By browsers you mean what internet sevice I use? I have always been using aol dial up service.

For security, I have norton firewall and antivirus, adaware, spyware and spybot SD. I have had all of them for over a year now.

I sent 2 messages to yahoo mail help but did not receive any reply yet. I wonder if just creating a new email account would work but I would prefer not to if possible.

Thanks again,
Reid

Huh.

I can't make it into Yahoo! Mail at all. The logon page never works.

Seems Yahoo! has a whole host of problems on their hands.

If you manage to log in; as a temporary measure, you could try hitting the reply button to one of your emails, delete everything in it and start afresh.

Or what worked for me once was to delete cookies and retry.

Thanks for the post uripyores,

I thought I may have to resort to the reply/delete thing. Seems like others are posting here with IE/yahoo problems.

I have found a solution to my problem at another forum discussion here, http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-6638-0....ssageID=491741. There are also several other ideas about fixing yahoo difficulties.

My case my pertain to IE and Service Pack 2. By just going into yahoo options and preferences, then changing settings to plain text, my compose and message text box shows up correctly. I still would like to be able to use pictures, smileys and color so I will try to download java later.

Thanks Cyber Tech for hosting sites like this where computer noobs like me can go to for help!

Aloha,
Reid
