So I got the computer fixed but now I have these files missing on Win 95.

mgamil.dll,mgapdx.dll,mgamil.drv,mgamil.vxd
Or if you know how to fix this problem I will keep Win 95.

If not:
I am thinking of installing Win 98 SE. I made my memory from 16MB to 72 MB. So now I have the memory to do it. I put the Win98 SE cd into CD-ROM and it looks at it as an audio cd. Any idea's?

By the way thanks Matt, for trying to help me.

Can you boot to a DOS prompt and copy the files from the Win98 CD to a Win98 folder on the hard drive?

You can not install Win98SE over win95 unless you change some file names, otherwise you will have to use the Windows Upgrade CD to install over 95. Or you will have to format and then install Win98SE. The missing dll files are probably there you just have to find them, if not they can be found online.

Fortunately Windows is equipped with a handy utility to perform this task. Click Start, Run and type in: regsvr32 put the name of your dll here.dll and click Ok. If it fails to register it may be due to a version conflict and you will have to remove the old registry entry and then "register" it again. Run regedit, and in the page that opens click Edit, Find and type in: InstalledFiles and click Find next. Search the right hand panel for the name of the .dll and if there right click the name, click modify and clear the data from the panel that opens. Close regedit, restart the computer and then try registering the .dll again

Installing 98 or re-installing 95 will prolly fix the dll's. If you want to install win98SE over 95 then you will have to do this.

Boot to DOS and type the following at the prompt and enter after doing each one

rename c:\windows\win.com win.old
rename c:\windows\setupx.dll setupx.old
rename c:\windows\winver.exe winver.old

Now switch to the cdrom drive (probably d: or e:) put your win98 cd in

Then type:

cd win98
setup

I fixed this also. I guess I just have to fool with it enough. I didn't know much about a computer, but have installed a new drive, new memory. Did partitions, and format drives. Never thought I could do it, but I did. I had to delete my partitions, and then reformat. I had to make sure I was running FAT32. Everything works great. Thanks everyone.

P.s. Since I did so well on this one, I am going to try to fix the other one. So if I need some help I know I can get it here.
