Can't open Mozbackup .pcv file on new computer

I used Mozbackup to download my bookmarks/favorites etc. to my new computer. Only problem is, when I try to download it from my yahoo mail account, a box opens saying windows can't open this file. How can I open it and thus inport my settings please ?

Do you have Mozbackup installed on the new computer? You'll need it to restore the file.

Yep. When I go through the restore process, it tells me the file is not found or corrupted. I've redownloaded the file, but no joy. Occasionally it says backup is restored, but it doesn't actually send the bookmarks or cookies where they're meant to go.

Have you reinstalled Mozbackup? If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall it. Maybe redownload Mozbackup to do the reinstall.

If none of that works, it may be the file is beyond redemption for whatever reason.

I managed to get it to restore the backup. However, it doesn't import the bookmarks or cookies, or anything else probably. Any ideas ?
