Problems with streamed Media
Hi, everytime I try and stream media over the internet either the application streaming it or my browser crashes. This happens whether using Firefox or Internet Explorer with embedded videos, or whether using Real Players, WMPlayer or Winamp for external streaming. I have tried reinstalling my graphics card and installing the latest drivers put it still persists. Examples of where it happens are on the following website for any of the videos... http://www.conferencefootball.tv/ or on MySpace where profiles have embedded videos.
Any help would be great. |

Welcome to CTH!!!!!!!
A friend of mine has this same problem...He's runinng XP and when he tries to view embedded cliops, the same thing happens...... I suggested re-installing his wmp but it didnt work ![]() You might be missing a file that controls embedded clips (He might be also,i didnt think of it till just now) the file is called "wmpns.dll" Its a "windows media player applet support dll" I have version 9.00.00.2980 of the file ![]() Check in your WMP folder or do a search on your computer for this file....If you dont have it,that might be why....... Good luck!!!!!!

tried reistalling WMPlayer before which didnt work and the file came up in a search. I dont think the problem is with just WMPlayer anyway as it happens with realplayer and winamp also. Thanks for the help though.
