I've had the Linksys Wireless-G router hooked up for a while now. The router and cable modem are on my computer, and one of the little receiver things is hooked to another computer in the house. I also run my laptop off of it. It's worked just fine until two days ago, when I turned on my computer and the little monitor thing in the righthand corner had a yellow triangle http://images.cybertechhelp.com/forumimages/icons/icon4.gif with an exclamation point in it claiming that there was "little or no connection" and I needed to contact my network administrator (which, I'm assuming, is me). Okay. Sometimes our power goes out, which wigs out my router and I have to unplug it to reset it and then it works fine. Did that - still not working. I really needed to check my email, so I connected my cable modem directly into the computer and the internet works just fine.
I was at work all day and then when I got home that evening, I hooked everything back up through the router and my computer and internet were running just fine again, as well as the laptop's internet. HOWEVER... Now the computer that's pulling the signal from the main computer is getting that little yellow triangle and no connection and has been for two days now. I've unplugged it and plugged it back in. I've reinstalled all the software on the computer. It says it's got a signal from the router, but still nothin'. And when I click on "Repair" when it gives me the option, it fails when it tries to update the IP address or whatever. What on earth is going on? I've never had this problem for as long as I've had the linksys routers in my house (this is the second one, after I "upgraded" from Wireless-B? to G, I guess) and it just seems so random. Nothing happened to trigger any of these problems. So what do I do now?
