Hardware...that's easy...Linksys 4 port router! I have three computers networked and sharing files and internet connection.

Software...that's a little tougher. Personally...I like all the little freeware apps out there. Don't buy a whole lot of stuff....

Software -
BUY = Windows 2000 Server
FREE = AVG (Antivirus) or VNC (Virtual Network Computing)

Hardware, hmmm don't buy much but of the things I have "acquired" it'd be a tossup between the 3Com 8port Hub (no more crossovers yay) and the 32MB TNT2 PCI Vid card (not much I know but no AGP slot and it's a vast improvement over 12MB Voodoo2).

lol y'all have given me some great ideas or rather dreams of things I wanna buy

Hardware : I bought a 4 port Fast Ethernet hub recently - wish now I'd spent the extra to get a switch but like Smurfy said it's great to ditch all those crossover cables

Software : probably the CDs I got with my MCSA course because they're packed full of excellent info. Buying Ultraedit also has to come very highly on the list because I couldn't live without it.

OK, how about we add one more question - what would you most love to buy in the next year.

For me it would be Windows 2000 Advanced Server, and possibly Exchange 2000. Ack! I'd love Norton Corporate Edition also because its great

Easy (realistic)...
Hardware - Decent digital camera

Software - Office XP.

Dreaming...
Hardware - New MB, CPU, RAM & Video + DVD and 5.1 soundcard & decoder to get into the 2000s.

Software - WinXP Pro and a good sequencer/sampler/mixer combo.

Software : Like AnnMarie, I love that Mailwasher program, just haven't got around to contibuting any cash towards it yet!!!

Future : I dunno, maybe a new complete computer system. Certainly the time to learn how to use all the software programs I have installed!!!!

Hardware is easy. Abit KR7A-Raid Mother board, XP 2000+ procc.. 32mb Geforce2 video card, Chieftech Dragon case with 420w dual fan Power supply.

Software, well the only software I have bought in the last year is Lindows. That was a disaster for me. Modem and ISP wasn't compatible so I couldn't get their programs to really do any testing.

Anyways, Hardware I want to buy.

Digital camera, Hard drive, Monitor, and a few other little goodies.

Software, None that I can think of Right now.....

Dreams of want he wants to buy (if he had the money)
A computer that can play the modern games without having to wait 5 minutes to select ok. ANd a computer that i don't have to download alternative drivers so the frame rate doesn't throttle.
