View Full Version : transfering email connections to laptop from my desktop

I have a wanadoo broadband connection, my emails are diverted & set up through outlook express,i cant member how i did it originally on my desktop.

I now have a laptop and need to email from this as well , can you please explain how i go about it.

At the mo i am having to collect my emails from my desktop.

I am on xp pro on both machines, i have IE running on the desktop / and Mozilla Firefox on the laptop.

wats the point of postin problems on here for ppl wantin advice wen no can be arsed to answer ur posts,

Open Tools/Accounts in OE. Make a new mail account and put in the same info you have for your desktop account. You could also export the settings on the desktop and copy that file to your other computer and import the account file there.

appreciate the info but i did manage to sort it finally,this wuda bin helpfull when first posted tho............but i do understand you guys/ galls have more important things to do........lol

in outlook xpress:
tools accounts new account
enter pop3 info like pop3.yourisp.com where yourisp is your service provider
enter smtp info like smtp.yourisp.com where yourisp is your service provider
user name (or account name)
password you normally enter.
and hope for the best.
