I'm kinda new to this...

Downloaded Windows Media Player for Mac OSX, now it says to open it I need Stuffit Expander, which is a trial version. Should I? Will I still be able to open WMP after SE trial expires? Or is there another way?

Thanks.

Stuffit is a program to open archived/compressed files.

It will be used to extract the WMP setup file. You can then install WMP and you will not need Stuffit unless you want to extract the setup again.

If all the 'i' software is so good, why bother with WMV etc??? I am a Mac newbie, so I would be pleased for info.

Unfortunately the only thing on the Mac that will play wmv format is Microsoft's player. Not all web sites will stream content in a true universal format.
