*Tip of the Day*
Youngest son sat on some chewing gum while we were out shopping the other day, great lump of it stuck to his derriere, and even after following the well known trick of putting his trackies in the freezer and trying to chip it off it stayed put. I found the solution though
Sprayed copious quantities of brake cleaning fluid on offending stuff and after a good rub, off it came
=================================
*Pesky Things*
I was bitten by a mosquito yesterday. Never had a mosquito bite before and now Ive scratched it and it hurts
I didnt realise we had the biting kind (or any kind actually) here. We've had quite a lot of them in the house just recently, seems to be pretty common in these parts at the moment. I'll just blame the weather shall I? Is anyone else having bother with them? Its getting much cooler now though, maybe that will kill the blighters.

WD40 has over 1000 uses. Pick it up here.
The latest one in the UK papers was some bloke put it on his dodgy knees and it healed them up. I'm contemplating dropping some in my pint over at Dai's gaff to see if I can make it taste like beer

Geoff, in order to display your own avatar and not a default CTH one, you have to subscribe - clicky
at the modest sum of $5 a year.
In order to post a new topic, you need to go to the relevant forum and at the top of said forum there is a button called 'new topic' as illustrated by rockboy in
THIS post.
You started your own topics HERE and
HERE successfully, plus you have also replied to a couple, so maybe
I am misunderstanding your problem?Posted September 29th, 2007 at 01:36 PM by PurestLight

Mossies - had a garden full of the little blighters when I was hanging the washing out this arvo, ych-y-fi!
I always use citronella oil if it's mozzie biting time, my lot suffer terribly, but I get bitten once to their 20 or so bites. Aha, very funny beanie (just in case your going to post one of the 20 ripostes I imagine you have lined up). I've always washed bites as soon as I know they are there, then put suncream or sunblock on the bite before it starts to weep.
My lot also bought one of those little zapper gizmos a few years back and they swear by them. Unfortunately, I went through the roof when I used it - such a big jessie!Posted March 30th, 2008 at 10:47 PM by Snurfen

Thought Id have a look at what WD40 is made from exactly, cos I thought maybe I could use it on clothes to remove Bolognese stains (which are really difficult to get out unless the sun is shining and then they 'bleach' out) and found this:Quote:Originally Posted by Mr BeanWD40 has over 1000 uses. Crikey!!! Had to read this a couple of times - I thought it was a typo or Id mis-read it at first. I wonder who on earth discovered that???Quote:Originally Posted by WikipediaWD-40 dissolves cocaine; when applied to surfaces in toilets, it prevents cocaine from being snorted off these surfaces.Posted March 31st, 2008 at 01:37 PM by PurestLight
