Hi to all,
Does anyone out there know how I can install ClipOrganizer into my PC? I have been directed everywhere following Microsoft's instructions but have no clue as to do what I am supposed to do?! I believe I have to install a software called File Type: MosASCII Project File File Extension: .mpf but am not too sure. I also need to know where I can find this software ovver the web. Google results just give you loads of sites, but once you are in there, you get lost again. Please help anyone? thank you. |

Click Here to open a Microsoft page. Scroll about halfway down that page to the line "Follow these steps to download and install the client update." Then click on the link to dowload ClipOrganizer. The file you download will be named "cag1001.exe" but you can rename it if you like. Remember where you saved it to.
Once you have that file downloaded, follow the rest of the instructions on the Microsoft page. |

Clip Organizer
Hey Miz,
Thanks for the advice. I did as you told, but it doesnt work, cos' the link you provided is an update, but I dont have the software to begin with. That's why Microsoft directs me to other commerical sites so I can download it from there, but once when I reach sites like cnet.com, i get lost in it and all i can find is the extension of the file, but not the download option. Do you think you are able to advise again? Thanks so much anyway! lena

That ClipOrganizer is for Office XP so if you don't have Office XP, it won't work.
If you're looking for something that does a better job than Windows' built-in clipboard, try out 3D Clipboard. On the page the link opens, just click on the "Download now" link, tell it to save to the harddrive, remember where you save it to and once it's downloaded, double click it to install it. It's free and it's the one I use. It'll keep at least 35 copied items, which is where I have it set, maybe more. It does not, however, keep copied pictures, only text. |

Hi Miz,
Thanks for the tip! I looked it up and it looks good, but it isn't free, there is a 30 day free trial, then $30 I think , to buy it. You mention that it only keeps text, so I can't use it to store cliparts, right? (which is really what I need it for.) thanks again, you have been a great help, I discovered a lot of new resources through that site. regards.

I guess I pasted in the wrong link. You can also get 3D Clipboard from http://www.3dclipboard.com which is the site of the guy who wrote it.
However, since you're mainly looking for a clipboard program that can deal with graphics, take a look through what's available on Download.com. A Google search for "clipboard" should turn up plenty of other possibilities. |
