Java issuse!!!

Hi

Im having problem with a work PC

We are running two versions of java on these PC as 2 diffrent apps require 2 diffrent version...this is working on all other PC and was working on mine till a day ago.

basically when i lanch one of the applications i get

"java Virtual Machine Launcher

Could not find main class. program will exit"

The problem is when trying to launch the later version of java but the other application which uses the old version of java is working fine?

runnning XP prof, java 1.4 abd java 1.5 ( 1.5 having issuse with)

im not sure what more info you would require please let me know and i will get it for you

Any suggestiond here would be awesome

I suggest that you go to one of the following sites, locate the version
that you need , download it and re-install it.

Since you need both of these older editions, I suggest that if you can locate
both on one of the following sites that you download and keep both
available.

It it me wise to uninstall the non-working version before re-installing it, but
my first try, if I were you, would be to re-install it over the one you have now, if that didn't work, then i would uninstall it and re-boot and then
re-install it from the one that i had downloaded and saved.

Old Versions of Java -Sun

As much as a wish every bug release of Java was perfect, some versions work better than others. For example, a number of our customers have had some sincere problems with Java 1.4.2_05. Therefore, we roll back to 1.4.2_03 typically.

The problem is always finding these version on Sun's site which is damn near impossible to navigate some times. For those looking for them, here is a link to the Java Archive.

Never fret! When you need to get that JDK 1.1 release, it's there.
