Belkin - Wireless-N Router speed issues

My issue is speed. I have DSL through AT&T. A service tech just checked everything out and said my speed into the house/modem is fine. It's a router issue.

Connected straight in to the modem, the laptop is fine.

I have a Belkin - Wireless-N Router purchased in September. I run a Toshiba Satellite laptop (brand new), Macbook, Toshiba tablet, and Xbox 360 in the same household. The problem I have is the speed of the connection. Too slow. I even tried just one device at a time- still slow.

Running Vista, but the connection is still slow with the 360, so what gives?

The router is placed in the middle of the house, second floor. I have moved it around, with no success.

Any suggestions?

Yes. Any suggestions as far as a reset, new router, etc? Something else? My family is about to throw me out of the house unless I get this issue fixed.

The AT&T guy suggested their router/modem combo, but that thing looks like garbage.

What is the exact model of the belkin?
Also, what type of wireless devices are you using with it 80211b, 80b11g, 80211n ?
depending on the router and the devices being used with it, there are some options you can tweak that mey improve performance.

you can change that through the router admin GUI.

What type of wireless adaptors do these computers have (80211b, 80b11g, 80211n)?
