New Dell laptop not performing well for online games :-(

New Dell laptop not performing well!!

Hello, I just purchased a new dell inspiron n5030. It is functioning great on everything, except gaming. I even played some dvds on it, and they run beautifully. I play on the site worldwinner.com and compete for money, so it is important that the games do not lag and jump. The most noticable is 'bejeweled twist', but all the games do not perform as well as on my old laptop which is 3 years old! Specs are:

Here is what i have tried so far...

I went to dell's website and updated all the video/display drivers, but it did not help.

uninstalled mcafee security - no help

I tried bejeweled twist downloaded and on popcap's site. The online game ran pretty smooth, but i can tell it was programmed differently, with different graphics and such. The offline version ran seemlessly. Exactly how i want the site to run. Also it is worth noting that i play cash games on king.com and never have any issues with the games on there.

(I also looked at the task Manager while playing on worldwinner. CPU usage was at 21% and physical memory at 40%, virtually unchanged from before runnning the game)

I tried lowering the screen res and it help only a tad. Nothing close to how nice the other versions run or the old laptop

what can i do? thanks in advance!!

Well, here is where i stand. I have tried EVERYTHING. The computer is so awesome at everything. It only has problems on worldwinner.com with three or four games. Sounds unimportant? Well, I make my income competing for cash in these games!!! AHHHH!!!!

Having my old laptop and knowing that it is very reliable with these games, what could the problem possibly be?!?

There is only one difference that hasn't been considered: Windows 7.

So, I am going to install Vista on it instead, and see if this solves the problem.

HOWEVER, the new laptop is only compatible with 64-bit vista. the old laptop runs 32-bit vista. Do you all think this is another variable or are the 64 and 32 bit versions identical for comparative, experimental purposes??

Thanks for all your attempts to fix this ridiculous problem

I run Vista Ultimate 32bit on a gaming XPS unit and it is slow, even with all features disabled. This go way down once I run Atlantica Online. A drag the system, and game, become. This is a 2.4Ghz with 2G DDR2 RAM. Personally, XP runs games more smoothly. On a Dell system with a pinch lower specs, nice and fast.

Have you disabled all visual effects of Windows? Going down to basic or standard visual, disabling all effects and eye candies, especially Aero.
