Unhappy Help to Repair a .rar file

Hi everyone,

Recently I download a software in .rar formate throught P2P. When I try to extract it an error message appear "This archieve either an unknown formate or damage". I try to repair it with the help of Advanced Zip Repiar 1.6 and Winrar 3.41, but failed.

There is any more process to repair the rar file. Please help me.

Thanks

The file may not be a RAR file at all.

You never know what you are going to get with P2P downloads.

If you downloaded a RAR file from an illegal site and did not agree to installing the software that the site wanted you to in order to download, then the download is corrupt.

If you got this from P2P, then who ever had the file when they downloaded had the same problem as above.
