Network causing a lockup?
Hello.
-Two identical Toshiba laptops running Vista. - Both lock up at the "Welcome" screen, but only at the customer's house. The laptops run fine at my shop. - Customer also has an HP desktop and laptop in the household that run fine. It's gotta be the network causing the lockup. I'm going to the customer's house tomorrow, and see if the laptops start with the network shut down. Thoughts? |

I would suggest logging in without the network connection and then trying to connect once logged in. Possibly locked up when trying to connect to the network for an IP address. Also are these computers wired or wireless? If wired, I would try plugging into one of the other computers connections to rule out the cable. If its wireless I would delete the connection and try to re-add it. When you say "lock up" can you still move the mouse or is it completely locked up?
