how to enable my mike option

hi
i just got that crap software dragon but im having trouble enableing my mike
so i can talk into the computer..ive tried various ways to do it all for naught.
whatelse can i do?nothing is muted so thats not the problem..

Since I don't know what you've tried, my idea may be redundant.

In Control Panel>Sound>Recording tab, make sure whatever mic you're using is set up properly and working.

Also check in Control Panel>Speech Recognition>"Set up microphone" in case that applies to Dragon as well.
