Windows update error code 641

Had to put in a new hard drive over the weekend and for the last two days, cannot install any updates..last update successfully installed was "Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 on Windows Vista SP2 and Windows Server 2008 SP2 x86 (KB2656374)"

Can someone help me try and figure this out? My new hard drive is a 1 TB Seagate (7200 RPM).

Error Code 80070641 and Code 641 using Vista*are the two error coes I'm receiving.
Thanks,
Matt

All my failed updates are either for net framework 3.5 or 4.0 even with SP2 on this pc.

Could be a Windows installer problem.

Start | All Programs| Accessories| right click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator

At the Command Prompt window type the following:

net stop msiserver (hit<enter>)

Now launch Windows update and attempt to install the previous failed updates.

Some Windows Update failures can be quite complex however Microsoft offers free support for Windows Update issues. You can lodge a free Windows Update support incident request here.
