Torrent programs causing stop errors

Hi, I've googled this alot but I still haven't found a solution so I'm going to finally call for help on this one.

I've just formatted my computer that was running Ubuntu Linux and previously before that XP (both with no errors) and upgraded to Vista.

One of the first things I installed was uTorrent which gave me stop errors. It took me a while to figure it out but it was only after about 10 mins of me having it open every time. So I then thought it was just something with uTorrent and tried Azureus, another torrent program. It did the same but this time usually 1-5 mins after starting the download. I've also tried the default Bittorrent client to determine that the problem is infact when downloading torrents although I'm not sure if it's the program or just when it's downloading.

So here is the stop error I get:

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
STOP: 0x00000050
(0x96934001, 0x00000000, 0x81883532, 0x00000000)

I googled a bit and tried updating my graphics drivers and upgrading my NIC drivers, neither worked. I was really hoping updating the NIC would fix it. I've also scanned for spyware, adware, viruses, trojans etc and there's none. I've also changed my pagefile from system managed to approx 2.5x my RAM size.

System specs:

AMD Athlon 3200+
1GB DDR RAM
nVidia Geforce 6600
Seagate Barracuda 200GB
Western Digital 250GB External HD (I save torrents to this hd)
Onboard sound
Hyper 525W PSU
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum NForce4 (I've never touched the BIOS)

If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

The only Torrent program I use is Bit Tornado and it works well when I get my Linux distros and my AutoPatcher updates.

Works fine with Vista
