Searched and Clicked on Poker Site and was infected

Was looking for a poker video on google chrome browser and thought I found it and clicked the 3rd or 4th link. Instantly porn popped up and felt like some sort of virus infected through my chrome browser. Now my computer Core i5 3 years old with 12gigs ram who used to be plenty fast for word and document processing now feels like a slug.
I check my task manager and find multiple chrome.exe even when Chrome is closed and they all are 20k-170k apiece. I know that Chrome runs multiples processes anyway when tabs are open so it is odd for me to see these higher processes even when the browser is clsoed. CPU usage seems to stay at or above 30-40% at all times. Ram usage stays at or above 34% at all times.

Done a couple virus/malware scans and feel like none were sufficient in removing whatever it is.

Thanks!
