Is this a Hypothetical Question or Not Hypothetical
St. Louis-- Brad Thorstadt was rattled Monday, when boating buddy and longtime friend w4che asked him a hypothetical question that he said clearly was not hypothetical. "What the hell did he mean by, "Hypothetically speaking, if you and Cheryl were into threesomes, would you consider me?'" Thorstadt asked. "That's not the kind of thing you just ask hypothetically." Thorstadt added that he likes w4che and everything, but "damn."

Cheryl said it was cool. In fact she is the one that told me to ask my buddy (Her boyfriend) the question in a hypothetical way. He saw it as a real question and not hypothetical???? If you saw Cheryl you would know why I ask.....

It looks to me like your hypothetical question was a little transparent w4che so yes by puting the word "hypothetical" at the beginning you make it a "hypothetical" question and leave yourself a way of backing out of the situation.

Forget hypothetical and try sublety next time.
