I need help with Counter-Strike: Source!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes I know this might be imature, but while I am playing Counter Strike Source, Im getting a pop up saying:

Counter-Strike Source: hl2.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x0d73b423" referenced memorory at "0x00000024". The memory could not be "read".

Click on Ok to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

Clicking on either option closes my game and freezes my computer.
If its possible to tell me what happened and how I can fix this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Usually I met any question when playing this game, the only way to solve problem to reinstall CS.EXE, and then it's ok! Do it yourself! Aha.

It's not CS.EXE, they all run under the HL2.EXE - To reinstall it, You would need to remove the game and reinstall it.

What OS are you using? And is this in normal mode or Offline mode?

I had the exact same problem with CSS and DOD:S, Only with XP Home, And only in Offline mode. In normal mode it would run perfectly fine.

Download memtest86. Use it to test your RAM. Let it run for a few hours, to get a few passes - Overnight is good.

Either download the bootable CD image, And using a third party burning program, Burn it to a cd as an Image. Or download the bootable floppy, put a floppy in your floppy drive and create the disc. Then reboot your PC with the chosen media, and let it boot up.
