AST 486SX memory problems

AST 486SX memory

I have a 486SX 33mhz that has a 4M memory with 3 empty slots.
I tried to put in a 32mg simm which says 16M when added but the
computer starts to load then says
Error loading 256_1280.DRV
Can you tell me what this means and how to fix it?
