No sound c-media AC97

Hello there.

My computer has had no sound for a while now.
It has a c media ac97 audio device.
Sound appears to play n stuff and i get no error messages in device manager stuff just nothing comes out the speakers (they do work and are plugged into the correct sockets.)
Ive also installed alot of drivers for c media ac97 also tried some for realtek ac97, those didn't work either :/.

Any help would be appreciated.

I seem to have the same issue at the moment.
It's only once I have installed something such as a game, audio converter, etc that it does it. When I do a system restore afterwards, it seems to be fine until I install something else that uses sound...?

Mines doesn't work at all,
Reinstalling windows didn't work either.
