Msn messenger
How do I get windows messenger to stop opening with outlook express? I have unchecked all the relevent boxes but it still comes up. I went to disable this program in defaults but then i cannot find it in my start up. I want to keep the program because I do use it, I just dont want it kicking in every time I check my e.mail. I am running XP pro,outlook 6.0 and messenger 4.7. Sorry if I posted in wrong forum

In Outlook Express>Tools>Options there is a box for "Allow Messenger to run in background" (or similar wording). If that's not unchecked, uncheck it and see if that makes a difference.

Yes this is UNchecked. I have made sure all the relevent boxes are uchecked but it just keeps popping up!

All sorted, thanx. I downloaded windows LIVE messenger, disabled windows messenger and all good now.
