Unistall problem unins000.msg file missing

I am trying to unistal a programme but I get the unins000.msg treatment,without this I can't unistall.I have MacAfee and I understand this is the problem.I have been advised to whitelist it but don't know how to do this

You can use this Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.

there is a caution with this utility in that it might erase other programmes ,I don't want to get out of my depth.

Then you'll have to reinstall it and then attempt another uninstall.
