(random?)Blue Screens while playing Lotro...
Ok, the title pretty much explains all I know about what is happening. I will sometimes get seemingly random blue screens while playing this game. I can't give any other info cause the screen is only up for about...two seconds?
I say random because there appears to be no real situation as to when it happens, or game time factor. I can play solo for ten minutes and it happens, or play for three hours solo and it never happens. I can group with other players for two hours and it doesn't happen, or 5 minutes into a group it happens. I honestly have no idea what could be causing this as everything (aside from my voice capture and playback devices not working...) else runs fine. Not sure if it is my video card, sound, HD or even my MB or processor. Only other instances of similar stuff is if I play WoW for a long period of time (two hours plus), my screen will blink black for about a second or two then come back on. Only other thing I can think of the the above mentioned thing with my sound card. No matter what I do, my voice capture and playback devices never stay working. I'll get em working then the next time I turn my pc on, they don't work again. Perhaps cause dxdiag says that my audio driver is not digitally signed? When installing it, it says this is normal and to ignore the warning box from Windows. Specs: OS: Windows XP Home, fully updated. Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3ghz DirectX 9 Video: Nvidia Geforce Gtx 460, 1ghz Sound: Soundblaster X-Fi Audio EC00 Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is getting annoying an possibly dangerous to my system. |
