iBryte Desktop
I have an icon that shows up in my system tray when I start up called iBryte Desktop. I don't know how it got there. It resists all attempt to stop it from starting and there is nothing in my control panel uninstall area that gives the option to remove it. The best that I've been able to find out is that it was installed by a Trojan. I'm running Norton Security Suite and it didn't catch it. I ran a full scan with Malwarebyte and it didn't detect anything although while Malwarebyte runs in the background I frequently get the message that it has blocked OUTGOING access to a potentially malicious website 208.73.210.29.
Any help or insight on this would be appreciated. |

Prior to receiving your post I found a folder in my Programs Folder called 'iBrytes'.
I just eliminated this folder, restarted the computer and it SEEMS to be gone. No icon in my system tray. Could it be as simple as that? |

The two programs listed above will help in determining if 'anything else' is there.
You may want to post their results. Also, look at Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (XP) Control Panel > Programs and Features (Vista/Seven) Is iBryte there? If so, click: Uninstall |
