Thumbs down BSOD or Stop Error

I have been getting these BSOD(Blue Screen of Death) or Stop Error quite frequently. Does anyone know how to get rid of this problem permenantly?

any applications to solve this problem?

We need more information before we can help jay1010101. The exact error message and what happens to trigger it (e.g. shutdown, after installing particular software).

Have you installed any new hardware lately? That error is most often hardware related (usually faulty RAM) although it can be caused by antivirus software and volume corruption.

I rarely work with hardware issues so you would need to post in our Hardware Forum if it looks like it might be hardware related. I can help you troubleshoot the other possibilities though. What antivirus software do you use and do the errors coincide with the installation?
