One of the best (no pun) stories about him was when he was sprawled on a bed in a high-class hotel, like The Dorchester, with the current Miss World and the runner-up, money scattered all over the bed, surrounded by champagne.
There was a knock on the door and the bell-boy came into the room. "Where did it all go wrong Mr. Best?" asked the bell-boy. Wrong? Wrong?
