Indexing Service Filter Daemon
Hi,
Recently i have been getting this error message while working on my Windows xp pro. "Indexing Service Filter Daemon Failure" and it keeps coming up every 2/5 minutes.... it is damn irritating... have tried the option of sending to microsoft as well as not sending it to microsoft.... how can i stop this from re-occuring. the file name is cidaemon.exe it is generally found in the Windows\system32 folder... The error message mentions the file name as cidaemon.exe.mdmp Pls reply asap. Thanks. |

Try stopping and then restarting the indexing service on your PC (Click Start, right-click My Computer and select Manage... then Services and Applications / Services) or if it still gives you an error try switching off the indexing as it's not massively useful unless you do loads of file searching on your system - go to this link to find out how http://www.tweakxp.com/tweak545.aspx
